Camping Teepees

If you’re looking to get even closer to nature, or have many people in your group, the camping teepees may be just what you’re looking for. Located just a short walk south of the swimming pond and the cabin, the teepees sit on a small mesa with extraordinary views of the Collbran valley below and the Grand Mesa in the distance.   

Modeled after traditional Sioux teepees, these tall, conical structures provide ample space and a cozy atmosphere for campers. Each teepee sleeps up to fifteen adults. Constructed from durable canvas, the teepees are weather-resistant and well-ventilated, making them suitable for various climates. Inside, the camping teepees come equipped with an engineered wood fiber flooring for added comfort, so all you need to bring is a sleeping bag and a pillow, we’ll provide the sleeping mats. We’ll even provide wood for an outdoor fire in the fire pit located just outside the teepees. S’mores, anyone? 

The spacious interior allows campers to stand and move comfortably, while the high ceiling lends an airy feel. With an entrance flap that opens up to scenic views, the camping teepees offer a memorable, close-to-nature experience with a touch of rustic charm, perfect for families or bigger groups looking to explore the outdoors in a unique, yet comfortable way.  

Guests also have access to the stand-alone bathrooms and shower facility just a short walk from the teepees, which offers an extra level of convenience and practicality.  

Whether you’re lucky enough to hear the sounds of the elk bugling in the fall or watch a family of deer browsing for foliage in the meadow, mother nature is sure to offer an extraordinary treat just outside your teepee.
