Our Story
The Camp7 story officially began in 2013, but the inspiration and vision began long before the Camp itself was a reality. Driven by the desire to create a summer camp similar to those where Scott (one of the Camp7 owners) had attended and worked as a youth counselor, Camp7 gradually came to life. In 2013, when the property was purchased, the cattail filled pond and barren ground looked much different from what it does today. As the property gradually evolved into what it is today, we began to quickly realize the truly unique and special qualities this property had to offer. One thing that has been true throughout all the years of Camp7’s history is the passion to get people outside.
We first opened the Camp7 property to our community in 2017 as a youth summer day camp, where days were filled with outdoor adventures like hiking, swimming, shooting the bow and arrows, and riding horses. Evenings were spent around the campfire learning camp songs and stories just like those from traditional summer camps from the past. These special moments left a lasting impact on not only the kids who spent time here, but on us as well, the owners of Camp7.
However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the camp faced significant challenges. With large gatherings no longer possible and safety a top priority, we had to reimagine how this beautiful space could be used to further create those lasting memories.

Out of those uncertain times, a new vision was born. We transitioned from a traditional summer camp to opening the property to a broader community. While the purpose shifted, the heart of this place remained the same—a space for connection, renewal, and meaningful experiences in the outdoors. It’s been inspiring to see how this change has allowed the property to continue its legacy, providing a paradise for people to come together.
Today, we carry that legacy forward by offering a space that celebrates connection; whether it’s through a family vacation, a romantic weekend, a retreat, or casual gathering with family or friends.
